The GeneralAire 12880 is a replacement filter media. This model is specifically designed for Spacegard or Aprilaire model 2200 whole house air cleaner. The filter should be replaced every 6 month for heating and cooling units and every 12 months for heating only ones. In environments with excess dust or with pets, then the filter should be replaced more often.
